Remind (formerly Remind 101) is a free, safe, easy-to-use communication tool that helps teachers connect instantly with students and parents.

Weebly is a free web hosting site that features a drag and drop website builder, and allows for multiple users to collaborate on the same site.

A wiki is a user-friendly, collaborative tool to post content on the web. Wikis are easy to set up and manage, and multiple users can contribute to the content of the site.

Edmodo is designed to bring all the advantages of social media into the classroom in a safe, education-focused tool. Teachers can get students engaged in online classroom discussions, give polls or quizzes to check for understanding, and award students badges based on performance or behavior.

Padlet is a wall on the web where collaborators can add virtual notes that can include text, images, links, documents, etc. Students are not required to long in to add to a wall. Check out this Teacher's Guide to Using Padlet in Class for information and ideas.

Consider Skype or Google Hangouts (or FaceTime if you are an iPad classroom) to connect with classrooms or experts across the globe. Mystery Skype is a great place to start!
